Medical Billing Officer

About the role

The Medical Billing Officer will ensure accurate and timely billing for services provided at Ashmed Specialist Hospital. This role bridges clinical services, the accounts department, and health insurance providers to support revenue collection.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, process, and manage patient bills.
• Ensure accurate documentation and issuance of medical service invoices.
• Liaise with the accounts department, clinical units, and HMOs for billing, claims processing, and reconciliation.
• Explain billing information to patients and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain billing records and ensure compliance with hospital financial policies.
• Support efficient revenue collection through timely billing and proper handling of patient and HMO accounts.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and financial information.

Required profile

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hospital billing software.
