Mathematics Teacher

About the role

The school is seeking a dedicated Mathematics Teacher to deliver high‑quality instruction to secondary students. You will be responsible for planning engaging lessons, preparing learners for key examinations, and fostering a supportive learning environment. The role involves continuous assessment of student progress and collaboration with parents and staff to ensure every learner succeeds.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics across designated secondary classes following the NERDC curriculum.
• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons that promote understanding and critical thinking.
• Prepare students for internal and external examinations such as BECE, WAEC, NECO, and JAMB.
• Assess student performance, track progress, and provide feedback to improve outcomes.
• Utilize assessment tools and data to inform instructional decisions.
• Incorporate appropriate educational technology to enhance learning.
• Maintain accurate classroom records, reports, and communication with parents.
• Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to support each learner’s development.

Required profile

• A degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of the secondary Mathematics curriculum.
• Demonstrated commitment to helping students achieve strong examination results.
• Excellent communication skills and a calm, professional classroom presence.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning needs.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
