Manager, Business Development – FTTx Operations (Fixed Broadband)

About the role

The Manager, Business Development will lead the FTTx Operations unit within MTN Nigeria's Fixed Broadband division. The role focuses on creating value from FTTx assets through demand planning, market acquisition and ensuring network readiness to boost take‑up rates, ARPU and asset monetisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead demand‑planning initiatives across market segments to capture new business opportunities.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure network readiness, commercial enablement and alignment with business goals.
• Optimise operational processes for efficiency and cost reduction while maintaining quality.
• Identify serviceability pain points and implement improvements to enhance customer experience.
• Mentor and develop the team, fostering growth and alignment with company values.
• Conduct GIS spatial analysis and leverage data‑management and analytics tools for informed decisions.

Required profile

• First degree in Engineering, Sciences, Telecommunications or IT.
• 6‑13 years of relevant experience in optical access networks, broadband solution sales or project management.
• Certifications such as CFOT (Certified Fiber Optic Technician) or PMP are desirable.
• Proven leadership with a track record of building high‑performing teams.
• Strong business acumen and data‑driven decision‑making ability.
