Management Accountant – Onsite in Benin City

About the role

The Management Accountant will work on‑site in Benin City in a full‑time capacity, providing financial insights and support to guide decision‑making across the group’s subsidiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and analyse management accounts, budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor variances, advise on cost control and performance improvement.
• Prepare and interpret financial statements and oversee accruals and period‑end adjustments.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for all subsidiaries.
• Collaborate with operational and finance teams to track key performance indicators.
• Support internal audits and contribute to the development of financial policies and procedures.
• Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership and assist strategic planning initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with relevant accounting standards and Nigerian regulations.

Required profile

• Strong accounting and finance skills with practical experience in accounting functions.
• Proficiency in preparing and interpreting financial statements and managing accruals.
• Well‑developed analytical ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field; professional certification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) advantageous.
• Experience in management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis in a corporate or multi‑subsidiary environment.
• Competence in using accounting software and Excel or other spreadsheet tools for financial modelling and reporting.
• High attention to detail, integrity with financial information and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills; familiarity with Nigerian financial regulations and tax practices is beneficial.
