Maintenance Data Capture Clerk – Packaging Department

About the role

The key purpose of this role is to capture maintenance data for the Packaging Department into relevant, planned maintenance systems to achieve optimal reporting capability and to perform engineering data‑capturing administrative duties such as SOP/SWI write‑ups, filing and information dissemination.

Key responsibilities

• Receive job cards from Engineering Planner artisans and capture the information into the system.
• Run reports on maintenance performance and assist planners with prioritising maintenance tasks.
• Issue schedules to engineering controllers, collect completed schedules and close maintenance orders.
• Generate and display packaging engineering and individual artisan performance indicators.
• Communicate effectively within teams and contribute to self and team development.

Required profile

• Computer literate with good knowledge of manufacturing strategies and packaging production processes.
• Technical qualification (N4FTC mechanical/electrical) or equivalent post‑matric qualification.
• 3‑6 months on‑the‑job training, 12 months on‑the‑job training and at least 1 year experience in a similar data‑capturing environment.
• Familiarity with maintenance systems such as COSWIN, SAP‑PM and SAP‑MM.
