Maggot Production Farmer

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated farmer to manage the day‑to‑day production of maggots at Davidorlah Farms. The role involves overseeing the entire maggot rearing process, ensuring high‑quality output for animal feed applications.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain suitable substrates for maggot production.
• Monitor the production environment, breeding conditions and growth of maggots.
• Maintain hygiene and bio‑security throughout the process.
• Harvest, process and store maggots according to farm procedures.
• Keep accurate production records and track output.
• Identify and address issues affecting yield.
• Support continuous improvement of the maggot production system.

Required profile

• Practical knowledge of maggot production.
• OND in Animal Nutrition, Animal Production & Health, Microbiology or related field.
• Understanding of biological production processes and good sanitation practices.
• Ability to monitor production cycles and maintain detailed records.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a farm environment.
• Previous hands‑on experience in maggot or insect‑based animal feed production.
