Machinery Engineer

About the role

The Machinery Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of both light and heavy machineries. This full‑time position involves diagnostic testing, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance within an industrial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Run diagnostic tests on machineries and analyze the results.
• Troubleshoot engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems.
• Check electrical and lighting systems and perform test runs to gauge performance.
• Carry out preventative maintenance on service light and heavy machineries.
• Maintain detailed service records, parts inventory and adhere to inspection checklists.

Required profile

• HND or BSc in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication and leadership abilities.
• Good time‑management, organisational skills and knowledge of safety regulations.
