Head of Procurement

About the role

Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc is seeking an experienced Head of Procurement to lead its procurement function. The role involves developing strategies, managing a team, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business objectives, reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of procurement professionals.
• Oversee procurement of goods, services and works in line with company policies.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Identify and mitigate procurement‑related risks and manage budgets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of procurement experience, including at least 8 years in a leadership role.
• International procurement experience is required.
• Strong integrity, ethics and results‑driven mindset.

• Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices and regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation abilities.
• Analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Proficiency with procurement software and systems.
