Logistics Officer

About the role

The Logistics Officer will coordinate the efficient movement of personnel, equipment, materials and supplies to support oil & gas operations, projects and offshore/onshore activities. This role ensures timely delivery, cost control and compliance with HSE and security procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate transportation and movement of personnel, equipment, materials, and supplies.
• Plan and monitor logistics activities for operational and project requirements.
• Arrange crew mobilization, demobilization and travel.
• Liaise with transporters, vendors, marine operators, freight forwarders and other logistics providers.
• Oversee delivery, receipt, storage and dispatch of materials and equipment.
• Track shipments and ensure timely delivery to operational locations.
• Prepare logistics schedules, movement plans and supporting documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicles, equipment movements, deliveries and logistics activities.
• Monitor logistics costs and support cost‑control initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company HSE, security and logistics procedures.
• Resolve transportation, delivery, documentation and scheduling issues.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly logistics reports.

Required profile

• B.Sc./HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, Business Administration or related field.
• 5–7 years of logistics experience within the Oil & Gas industry, preferably supporting offshore/onshore operations.
• Knowledge of Nigerian Oil & Gas logistics and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Office and logistics/ERP systems.
