Logistics Associate (G-6) – 364-day contract in Lagos

About the role
The Logistics Associate supports the continuous provision of affordable, high‑quality supplies and services in Nigeria, working under the direct supervision of the Supply and Logistics Specialist and ensuring strict compliance with UNICEF policies and ethical standards.
Key responsibilities
- Clearance of incoming goods and verification that all documentation complies with export and import regulations.
- Support in‑country logistics, including warehouse and inventory management activities.
- Liaise with Programme Section and Procurement Services to prepare required import regulatory submissions and align supply plans with distribution plans and funding sources.
- Prepare logistics commitments, allocate tasks to vendors, and monitor logistics spend, reviewing the adequacy of outstanding commitments on a quarterly basis.
- Issue Letters of Authority to relevant state ministries, clearing agents, and customs authorities as needed.
Required profile
- Works under direct supervision of the Supply and Logistics Specialist.
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to UNICEF policies, procedures and ethical standards.
- Strong organizational and reporting capabilities.
- Effective liaison skills with internal programme sections and external partners.
