Loan Recovery Team Lead

About the role

The Loan Recovery Team Lead will oversee a group of loan collectors, ensuring daily collection targets are achieved while maintaining high standards of customer service. This position reports to senior management and plays a key role in driving the company’s credit performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and support a team of loan collectors.
• Monitor daily collection activities and ensure targets are met.
• Track collectors’ performance and provide coaching where necessary.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.
• Handle escalated customer issues and repayment negotiations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and collection procedures.
• Conduct team meetings and performance reviews.
• Train and mentor new collection staff.

Required profile

• Minimum of an OND in any discipline.
• 1–2 years of experience in debt recovery, collections, or a related field.
• Previous team leadership experience is an added advantage.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet collection targets.
