About the role

The Lead, Nursing Standards & Policy is responsible for establishing and maintaining high standards of nursing practice across healthcare facilities. This role ensures that nursing policies, protocols, and procedures align with regulatory requirements, best practices, and organizational goals, fostering a culture of excellence, patient safety, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review, and update nursing policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure regulatory compliance and alignment with best practices.
• Lead the implementation of evidence‑based nursing protocols and procedures, promoting consistency and excellence in patient care.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership and multidisciplinary teams to identify improvement areas and drive initiatives that enhance nursing practice and patient outcomes.
• Provide guidance and training to nursing staff on policy adherence, clinical standards, and quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Monitor and evaluate nursing practices using data and feedback to inform policy updates and support continuous professional development.

Required profile

• 6–10 years of nursing experience with at least 3 years in a leadership or policy‑development role, preferably in a healthcare or public‑sector environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field is an advantage).
• Professional certification in nursing leadership, quality management, or a related specialty.
• Must be a resident of Imo State or willing to relocate.
