Laboratory Technician / Senior Geologist – Railway Project

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician / Senior Geologist to support the Kano‑Maradi‑Dutse Railway Project. The role involves ensuring quality control of construction materials, conducting field investigations, and providing technical advice to guarantee safety and project success.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, analyse and interpret laboratory and on‑site test results in line with project specifications.
• Plan, organise and carry out field investigations, including drilling and in‑situ testing of soils and foundations.
• Prepare technical documents, reports and records for embankments, bridge foundations, drainage structures and building foundations.
• Test and advise on the use of construction materials such as sand, gravel, cement, water and soil.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment and ensure equipment is in good condition.
