Kitchen Cook

About the role

We are seeking a Kitchen Cook to join our team at Khadasha Innovations Africa in Lagos. The role involves preparing and cooking a variety of Nigerian and continental dishes while maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to approved recipes, ensuring consistent taste, quality, portion sizes, and presentation.
• Organise cooking stations and prepare ingredients before service.
• Ensure meals are prepared and served within required timelines.
• Monitor food quality throughout preparation and cooking, and minimise waste.
• Properly store and handle food ingredients, maintaining clean and hygienic cooking areas and equipment.
• Collaborate with chefs, kitchen assistants, and service staff, following all food safety and kitchen operating procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum SSCE/WAEC or equivalent qualification.
• At least 36 months experience as a cook in a hotel, restaurant, catering or similar environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques for Nigerian and continental cuisine.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene, portion control and kitchen sanitation.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet service timelines.
• Culinary training or relevant certification is an advantage.
