Junior Site Engineer – Construction Projects

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Site Engineer to join our construction team in Port Harcourt. You will support daily site operations, ensure work aligns with drawings and specifications, and help maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in supervising daily site activities and verify compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Support preparation of site reports, material schedules, and progress documentation.
• Monitor workmanship, quality control, and adherence to safety standards.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, artisans, and suppliers to maintain workflow.
• Assist with setting out, leveling, and surveying tasks on site.
• Report site challenges promptly and contribute to problem‑solving.
• Ensure proper use of materials and minimise wastage.

Required profile

• Minimum OND in Civil Engineering, Building Technology, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant site experience (industrial training may be considered).
• Basic knowledge of construction drawings, site measurements, and engineering principles.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and follow instructions accurately.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD (advantageous).
