IT Support Specialist / Technician

About the role

The IT Support Specialist/Technician will provide first‑line technical assistance to hotel staff and management, ensuring smooth operation of all IT infrastructure. You will be the primary point of contact for hardware, network, and application issues within a busy hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver day‑to‑day first‑line support for computers, printers, scanners and other office equipment.
• Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot the hotel’s network, internet, Wi‑Fi and connected devices, minimizing downtime.
• Support core operational applications such as the Property Management System (PMS), Point‑of‑Sale (POS), HR/attendance and accounting systems.
• Manage user accounts, passwords, access control and system permissions in line with management authorisation.
• Assist with CCTV and other technology systems as required.
• Perform routine system updates, basic security checks and monitor backup processes, reporting any failures.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date IT asset register and keep records of repairs, incidents and service activities.
• Liaise with external vendors for specialised installations or troubleshooting.
• Provide basic IT guidance and training to end‑users.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
• Entry‑level qualification (MSc or MBA in a related field).
• Strong problem‑solving attitude and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Network troubleshooting and Wi‑Fi management.
• CCTV system support.
• Experience with PMS and POS software.
• User account administration and access control.
• IT asset management and documentation.
