IT Officer – Systems & Network Support

About the role

The IT Officer will be the primary technical backbone for our office, ensuring that all hardware, network and software components operate smoothly. You will support internal staff, maintain travel‑technology systems and uphold security standards in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, maintain and troubleshoot office hardware, network switches, routers, firewalls, printers and workstations.
• Provide first‑line technical support for software, connectivity and system access issues.
• Manage GDS (Amadeus, Sabre) integrations, booking engine connections and travel‑management ERP software.
• Enforce cybersecurity protocols, multi‑factor authentication, antivirus protection and data‑privacy measures.
• Perform regular system backups, cloud‑based storage, and disaster‑recovery testing.
• Maintain inventory of hardware and software, and recommend upgrades as the agency grows.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of hands‑on experience in network administration, hardware troubleshooting and system support.
• Experience with GDS or travel‑software platforms is a plus.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, CCNA or MCSA are advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with knowledge of network protocols and cloud management.
