Inventory & IT Support Officer

About the role

We are seeking a highly competent and result‑oriented Inventory & IT Support Officer to join Nile University’s dynamic team in Abuja. The role ensures accurate tracking of IT and general assets while providing first‑line technical support to staff, students and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain an up‑to‑date register of all IT and general assets, recording full details before issuance.
• Receive, inspect, and securely store deliveries, retaining documentation for audit purposes.
• Fulfil equipment requests in line with university policy, issuing assets against signed forms and accountable custodians.
• Monitor stock levels, reorder supplies, coordinate transfers between locations, and manage asset returns and recovery.
• Act as the first point of contact for IT issues, log tickets, provide Tier 1 troubleshooting, and escalate complex problems.
• Set up and maintain devices, handle user accounts, password resets, and maintain a knowledge base.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience with inventory, asset or stock‑management systems and accurate record‑keeping.
• Hands‑on experience troubleshooting common hardware, software and network issues.
• Knowledge of inventory principles such as receiving, issuing, reorder levels and stock‑taking.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for records, reconciliation and reporting.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and communication skills.
