Infrastructure Operations and Maintenance Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an Infrastructure Operations and Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Abuja. The role involves ensuring the reliability and performance of enterprise systems and supporting a wide range of IT and telecom infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑ and second‑line support for Windows, Linux and virtualised environments.
• Monitor system availability, alerts, capacity, hardware health and backup completion, and perform scheduled health checks.
• Troubleshoot network, connectivity, wireless, voice, CCTV and display issues, escalating specialist faults as needed.
• Apply approved patches, maintain asset, configuration and incident records, and verify backups with restore and fail‑over tests.
• Coordinate vendor support, warranty management and spare parts, and prepare incident and root‑cause reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of enterprise infrastructure support experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, virtualization, networking and backup technologies.
• Familiarity with firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, Wi‑Fi, CCTV/NVR systems and UPS monitoring.
• Experience with monitoring platforms, ticketing systems and controlled remote administration.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation and user communication skills.
