Industrial Painter / Sprayer – Wood, Metal & Car Surfaces

About the role

We are hiring experienced Industrial Painters/Sprayers to work on wood, metal, car and general surfaces at ZICS in Ibadan. The role involves collaborating with various departments to deliver high‑quality finished products and maintain technical equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Paint wood works, metals, buildings, houses, and cars using appropriate techniques.
• Clean and prepare surfaces before applying paint, including masking and chemical rinses.
• Maintain and operate technical painting equipment, heavy machinery, and electroplating tools.
• Measure paint viscosity and thickness, and ensure proper ventilation and safety standards.
• Dispose of chemical waste safely and perform polishing of metallic surfaces.

Required profile

• OND/HND/BSc graduate with experience painting a variety of surface types.
• Physical strength and stamina to operate heavy machinery.
• Attention to detail, good dexterity and hand‑eye coordination.
• Organizational and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Selection and application of paints, coatings, and caulking.
• Use of brushes, airbrushes, rollers, viscosity cups and thickness gauges.
• Operation of hand and power tools, heavy machinery, and electroplating equipment.
• Surface preparation, staining, sealing, and metal polishing.
• Reading and enforcing safety procedures and estimating project time and material needs.
