About the role
The Industrial Hygienist will protect employees and contractors from workplace health hazards at a large refinery, ensuring compliance with local regulations and supporting occupational health programmes.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct exposure assessments for noise, heat stress, radiation and airborne contaminants.
- Recommend engineering, administrative and PPE controls to mitigate risks.
- Support occupational health programmes such as medical surveillance and respiratory protection.
- Participate in incident investigations and maintain sampling logs, calibration certificates and hygiene reports.
Required profile
- B.Sc/B.Tech in OHS, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health, Chemistry or related field.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a refinery or 10 years in an industrial setting.
- Knowledge of Nigerian Factories Act and NUPRC/NMDPRA HSE requirements.
