Human Resources Officer

About the role

Wayfare Travels, a corporate travel management company based in Lagos, is hiring a full-time, on-site Human Resources Officer. The officer supports and enhances HR operations by managing day-to-day HR activities and acting as a point of contact for employees and management.

Key responsibilities

• Administer HR policies and maintain employee records
• Coordinate recruitment and onboarding processes
• Assist in creating and updating job descriptions
• Handle employee relations matters professionally
• Support performance management and training initiatives
• Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and company standards
• Collaborate with leadership to promote a positive work environment and align HR practices with business goals

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations or a related field
• Strong foundation in HR and HR management, with experience in core HR functions
• Ability to develop, implement and maintain HR policies
• Experience in job description development, talent acquisition support and role profiling
• Knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices in corporate or service industries
• Demonstrated integrity, discretion with confidential information and commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory practices

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office tools and HR information systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and documentation skills, able to manage multiple priorities
• Prior experience in travel or hospitality sectors is an advantage
