Human Resource Officer

About the role

The Human Resource Officer will lead the full recruitment cycle, support onboarding, and ensure smooth HR operations for Swift Consulting’s offices in Port Harcourt and the wider Rivers State region. This role combines strategic HR policy implementation with day‑to‑day employee services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment, selection and onboarding processes.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
• Implement HR policies and monitor compliance with Nigerian labour regulations.
• Handle employee relations, disciplinary actions and grievance resolution.
• Coordinate performance management and staff development initiatives.
• Process leave requests and support payroll‑related HR activities.
• Prepare regular HR reports and provide administrative support to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a Human Resources role.
• Professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, HRCI or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian labour laws and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational abilities.
