HR & People Operations Officer

About the role

The HR & People Operations Officer will manage day‑to‑day HR activities for Alpha Mead Group, supporting the full employee lifecycle and ensuring data integrity. This role is based in Ikoyi, Lagos and works closely with payroll, finance and senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily HR and people‑operations tasks across the organisation.
• Oversee onboarding, transfers, promotions, exits and maintain accurate employee records.
• Produce HR data, dashboards and reports using Microsoft Excel and other tools.
• Support recruitment processes including job postings, screening, interview coordination and onboarding.
• Assist performance‑management activities such as goal setting, reviews and documentation.
• Drive employee‑engagement initiatives, welfare activities and culture programmes.
• Ensure compliance with employment policies, regulations and HRIS administration.
• Collaborate with payroll and finance to resolve payroll‑related HR data issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in HR, People Operations or HR Generalist roles.
• Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPM or HRCI).

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience with HRIS platforms or comparable HR technology.
