HR Officer

About the role

Our client seeks to hire a detail‑oriented Human Resources Officer to support day‑to‑day HR operations and administrative processes across the organization. The role will focus on recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, and staff engagement, ensuring efficient people management and compliance with company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Support recruitment activities including job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordination.
• Assist in onboarding and employee orientation processes.
• Maintain and update employee records, HR databases, and documentation systems.
• Track employee leave, attendance, and probation confirmation timelines.
• Serve as the first point of contact for HR‑related inquiries and provide support on employee matters.
• Support employee engagement initiatives and staff welfare activities.
• Assist in implementing HR policies, processes, and disciplinary procedures.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant labour regulations.
• Support HR reporting, audits, and documentation reviews.
• Coordinate training schedules, logistics, and maintain training records.
• Provide general administrative support to the HR function.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in HR or administrative roles.
• Professional HR certification is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Basic knowledge of Nigerian labour law and HR processes.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to think critically and work independently.
• Proactive, adaptable, and able to work in a dynamic environment.
• Willingness to learn and grow within the HR function.
