Payroll Supervisor

About the role

The Payroll Supervisor will lead the accurate and timely processing of employee payroll, ensuring full compliance with Nigerian tax, pension, labor and other statutory requirements. Working closely with HR and Finance, the role maintains payroll records, resolves employee queries and supports benefits administration.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, verify and process payroll data including salaries, bonuses, deductions and overtime, ensuring correct computation of earnings and statutory deductions.
• Ensure compliance with Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) regulations, prepare and submit PAYE, pension and other statutory filings.
• Maintain confidential payroll records, handle employee inquiries on payslips and tax deductions, and update records for any employee changes.
• Utilize payroll software or HRIS to improve accuracy and efficiency, and collaborate on system upgrades and related projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
• 4–6 years of payroll experience in a structured organization, with strong knowledge of Nigerian payroll, PAYE and pension regulations.
