HR Lead

About the role

The HR Lead will shape and execute the human resources strategy for Jewels Leading Lights Academy, aligning people initiatives with the academy’s educational objectives. Reporting to senior management, the role combines strategic planning, talent acquisition, employee relations and performance management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR policies, procedures and systems that support organisational growth.
• Provide strategic HR advice to management and departmental leaders.
• Lead end‑to‑end recruitment, from workforce planning to onboarding, and maintain a talent pipeline for critical roles.
• Manage employee relations, handling grievances, disciplinary matters and workplace conflicts confidentially.
• Design and oversee performance management processes, including reviews, goal‑setting and improvement plans.
• Identify training needs, coordinate learning programmes and support leadership development initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of progressive HR experience (mid‑level).
• Proven ability to develop HR strategies and improve employee engagement.
• Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices and performance management.
• Excellent communication and advisory skills for interacting with managers and staff.
