Head of Site - Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

About the role

Adexen is recruiting a Head of Site for a pharmaceutical manufacturer in Nigeria. The role leads multiple factories and owns their P&L performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the campus, turn group strategy into site operating plans and chair performance reviews.
• Align production, engineering, quality, supply chain, warehousing and HSE teams around site targets.
• Deliver production, yield and efficiency targets, improve capacity utilisation, remove bottlenecks and drive productivity and waste reduction.
• Ensure GMP and regulatory compliance, maintain audit readiness and oversee deviations, CAPA and site quality systems.
• Improve equipment reliability and availability through maintenance, utilities and asset management, and support capital projects, expansions and new installations.
• Own site P&L and operating budgets, control manufacturing, utilities and logistics costs, and optimise inventory and working capital.
• Align production with demand planning and procurement to improve on-time, in-full delivery and avoid stock shortages or excess inventory.
• Lead health, safety and environmental performance, prevent incidents, meet statutory obligations and build the capabilities and succession plans of plant managers and functional leaders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Pharmacy or Engineering; an MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred.
• At least 20 years in manufacturing, including at least seven years in senior leadership, with experience managing multiple factories or large-scale operations.
• Experience in pharmaceuticals, FMCG or another regulated manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Demonstrated P&L ownership, stakeholder management and ability to lead operational change.
