About the role

The Head of School will provide strategic leadership for Olive Brook International School, overseeing both academic and administrative functions. Reporting to the school owners, the role is responsible for driving high standards of teaching, fostering a positive learning environment, and steering the school’s growth in Abuja.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement policies, systems and initiatives that support the school’s strategic objectives.
• Lead, motivate and manage teaching and non‑teaching staff, including performance monitoring and professional development.
• Oversee curriculum delivery and ensure compliance with national educational standards.
• Build strong relationships with parents, students, staff and external stakeholders.
• Drive student enrolment, retention and enhance the school’s reputation.
• Manage day‑to‑day school operations, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Promote a safe, disciplined and positive learning environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Minimum five years of experience in school administration, academic coordination or senior educational leadership.
• Proven experience in managing and supervising staff.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Excellent organisational, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and ownership‑driven.
• Innovative mindset with a passion for improving educational standards.
