Head of Engineering, Supply Chain

About the role

Head of Engineering, POS Supply Chain leads the technical strategy and a distributed engineering organisation responsible for inventory, logistics and repair management software that supports millions of POS devices across multiple markets.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical strategy and architecture for inventory, logistics and repair management tools.
• Lead an engineering organisation of ~25 engineers, including managers, QA, SRE and data engineers.
• Drive platformisation of inventory and supply‑chain systems to ensure operational data is visible, trustworthy and consistent.
• Bridge operational practice and software systems by building disciplined solutions.
• Define architecture standards, engineering processes and quality metrics across squads.
• Collaborate with business and operational stakeholders to translate requirements into engineering solutions.
• Hire, mentor and develop engineering managers and senior engineers to grow the team.

Required profile

• 10–15 years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years leading engineering teams through growth phases.
• 5+ years of hands‑on production‑level Java development.
• 5+ years of experience managing managers and large engineering organisations (20+ members).
• Deep hands‑on experience in supply‑chain, inventory, warehouse or logistics software at scale.
• Fintech or regulated‑industry background with an understanding of device‑management stakes.
• Strong backend engineering skills for data‑intensive, distributed systems.
• Proven system‑design ability at large scale (hundreds of thousands of devices).
• Excellent stakeholder management and product‑mindset for operational problems.
