Head of Engineering, Rewards

About the role

Moniepoint is building a full‑stack rewards, retention and engagement platform for its 23 million users. As Head of Engineering you will own the platform end‑to‑end, inherit a team of nine engineers and scale it to multiple product units while delivering immediate performance improvements to the existing cashback product.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical strategy, architecture and roadmap for the Rewards platform.
• Improve performance, reliability and depth of the existing cashback product.
• Build and scale the engineering organisation from nine engineers to multiple product units.
• Establish an experimentation culture with A/B testing, cohort analysis and rapid measurement.
• Collaborate with Growth, Sales and Marketing to translate acquisition and retention goals into engineering initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience building and shipping direct‑to‑consumer products at scale.
• Strong front‑end and mobile engineering background; not a purely backend role.
• Hands‑on experience running A/B tests, feature‑flagging and measurement frameworks.
• At least 5 years of experience managing engineering managers and leading large teams.
• 10+ years of overall software engineering experience, with deep knowledge of Java and Spring Boot.
