Head of Cooperative Business

About the role

A financial institution in Lagos is hiring a Head of Cooperative Business to lead its cooperative business. The role is full time and focuses on driving member acquisition, managing the cooperative's affairs and building a sustainable revenue base.

Key responsibilities

• Drive member acquisition for the cooperative
• Lead all marketing activities and promote the cooperative's products and services to potential members
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with members
• Manage the cooperative's affairs, including regulatory compliance and periodic meetings
• Conduct market research and analysis
• Generate a diversified and sustainable revenue base for stakeholders
• Develop and manage business opportunities and implement business strategies, plans and procedures

Required profile

• First degree (BSc/HND) preferably in economics, business administration, accounting/finance or another business-related field
• At least 3 years at middle management level with demonstrated success
• Past experience in co-operative business and operations is an added advantage
• Demonstrated track record in people management
• Very strong leadership skills and a rich industry network
• Good knowledge of the Nigerian financial services industry
• Strong commitment to working with customers at the bottom of the pyramid
