Head of Accounts

About the role

A fast‑growing luxury retail and fashion accessories company is recruiting a full‑time Head of Accounts to lead its finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, profit and loss statements, and comprehensive financial reports.
• Oversee general ledger management, reconciliations, and overall financial record integrity.
• Develop annual operating budgets, expenditure plans, and financial forecasts.
• Manage employee payroll and ensure timely statutory remittances and tax compliance.
• Supervise the Accounts Officer, provide overall financial team leadership, and liaise with internal/external auditors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in accounting, finance, audit, or financial control.
• Strong command of IFRS, taxation standards, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills with high integrity and detail orientation.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks.
• Knowledge of IFRS.
• Knowledge of taxation standards.
• Budgeting and financial reporting expertise.
