Growth Lead – P2P & Crypto Marketplace

About the role

This is a market‑building role rather than a traditional marketing position. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the Nigerian crypto market, established relationships across the local ecosystem, and a proven ability to turn communities, partnerships and local networks into measurable user growth.

Key responsibilities

• Market Growth: Identify and onboard institutional and high‑volume participants to ensure consistent marketplace liquidity and depth.
• User Acquisition & Activation: Develop and execute localized growth strategies to acquire and convert new users into active traders, covering segmentation, referral programs, and onboarding optimisation.
• Partner & Counterparty Management: Serve as the primary relationship owner for key marketplace participants, maintaining platform SLAs and operational standards.
• Market Intelligence: Surface local payment trends, settlement preferences, and alternative rails relevant to the African market for the product team.

Required profile

• 5+ years in Fintech Operations, Digital Asset Settlement, or Marketplace Management.
• Strong understanding of the African crypto trading landscape.
• Deep familiarity with Nigerian payment infrastructure, local market dynamics, and cross‑border value movement.
• Proven ability to build SOPs and operate effectively in lean, remote‑first environments.

Required skills

• Experience working at a crypto exchange, P2P marketplace, wallet, Web3 project or fintech.
• Direct experience working with P2P merchants or liquidity providers.
• Strong existing network among Nigerian crypto KOLs, communities and ecosystem participants.
• Experience with referral, affiliate or agent / community‑led growth programmes.
• Experience launching a new crypto product, market or business from an early stage.
