General Manager Operations & Infrastructure (Nigeria)

About the role

J.NEHM Construction Limited is seeking an experienced General Manager Operations to lead construction and infrastructure operations in Nigeria. This is a company‑building leadership role with responsibility for project delivery, technical standards, commercial performance, QHSE, people development and operational growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multiple construction and infrastructure projects from mobilisation to completion.
• Drive performance across cost, programme, quality, safety and commercial results.
• Provide senior technical leadership across civil and infrastructure works.
• Oversee FIDIC, NEC and JCT contracts, claims, variations and final accounts.
• Build and lead high‑performing construction and project teams.
• Develop subcontractor, supplier and client relationships.
• Establish strong QHSE and project delivery systems.
• Support business strategy, tenders and long‑term growth.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer status (CEng MICE, BauIng, Dipl.-Ing. or equivalent).
• 20+ years' construction/infrastructure experience, including senior leadership.
• Recent experience in Nigeria or West Africa.
• Proven delivery of major projects, ideally USD 20M+.
• Strong technical, commercial and contract‑management expertise.
• Experience with FIDIC, NEC/NEC4 or JCT contracts.
• Leadership of 200+ multidisciplinary personnel and strong QHSE record.
