Full-Time Primary School Computer Teacher

About the role

We are looking for a full-time Computer Teacher to deliver engaging, age-appropriate computer lessons to primary-school students. The role involves building foundational digital literacy, including keyboarding, internet safety and introductory coding, while fostering creativity and critical thinking through technology.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver weekly computer lessons for elementary students.
• Introduce basic computer operations, keyboarding and common software applications.
• Teach digital citizenship, online safety and responsible technology use.
• Support problem-solving, creativity and critical-thinking skills using technology.
• Introduce basic coding, robotics or STEM activities where appropriate.
• Maintain classroom technology, computer-lab equipment and instructional software.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate technology into broader learning activities.
• Maintain a safe, organized and positive learning environment.
• Stay updated on current educational technology tools and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Teaching certification or licence preferred.
• Experience teaching elementary-level children preferred.
• Strong knowledge of computers, educational software and basic troubleshooting.
• Excellent classroom management and communication abilities.
• Patience, creativity and enthusiasm for working with young learners.
