Fuel Monitoring Supervisor

About the role

The Fuel Monitoring Supervisor ensures accurate, efficient, and compliant fuel management for a fleet of over 500 trucks. The role monitors real‑time fuel sensors, validates dispensing operations, and works with third‑party providers to prevent fuel loss and optimise costs.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor performance and accuracy of fuel sensors and probes on all trucks, reporting faults and coordinating repairs or calibrations.
• Validate fuel dispensing records from company dumps, third‑party stations and partners such as NB Breweries against system data and physical confirmations.
• Identify and block potential leakages, unauthorized offloads and short‑changing incidents, investigating discrepancies with relevant departments.
• Liaise with vendors to ensure maintenance of monitoring systems, enforce service level agreements and manage contractual obligations.
• Generate daily, weekly and monthly reports on fuel usage, sensor performance and discrepancies, providing data‑driven insights for operational improvement.
• Support audit processes with accurate records and recommend process enhancements based on consumption trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in customer relationship management or similar roles.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, charts).
• Experience using data analysis and reporting tools.
• In‑depth knowledge of fuel probe/sensor technology and telematics systems.
• Familiarity with asset tracking, inventory management software and basic accounting principles.
