Front Desk Receptionist

About the role

The Front Desk Receptionist will be the first point of contact for members, guests and prospective members at Haven X Fitness Gym. You will ensure a welcoming atmosphere, handle administrative tasks and support the smooth operation of the gym’s front office.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and assist members, guests and prospective members.
• Answer phone calls, messages and general inquiries about memberships, schedules and gym activities.
• Manage member check‑ins and maintain accurate attendance records.
• Process membership payments, issue receipts and handle cash transactions accurately.
• Conduct gym tours and provide information to prospective members.
• Follow up on inquiries, membership renewals and prospective leads as assigned.
• Escalate member concerns or complaints to the appropriate staff.
• Keep the front desk area clean, organized and professional.
• Coordinate with coaches and the Gym Manager to address member needs.
• Report facility, equipment or safety issues promptly.
• Support gym promotions, events and member‑engagement activities.
• Complete daily reports and other administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Previous experience in reception, customer service, hospitality, retail or a similar role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, confident and professional demeanor.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with attention to detail.
• Reliable, punctual, honest and accountable.
• Ability to remain professional in difficult situations.
• Interest in fitness and wellness is an advantage.
