About the role
The Fleet Manager will take full ownership of B‑Meson Limited’s vehicle fleet and transportation operations, ensuring optimal availability, safety and cost efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain an accurate master register of all vehicles and monitor allocation, utilization and downtime.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programmes, track service intervals and manage breakdowns and emergency repairs.
- Build and oversee a panel of approved mechanics, workshops and automotive vendors, enforcing job‑card approvals and cost controls.
- Supervise all company drivers, enforce safety standards, conduct regular briefings, training and performance KPI tracking.
- Implement pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, manage fuel consumption monitoring and ensure compliance with licensing, insurance and roadworthiness documentation.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Transport Management, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing fleets, vehicles and drivers.
- Proven ability to manage mechanics, workshops and automotive vendors.
- Strong administrative, documentation and reporting capabilities.
- Valid driver’s licence and practical understanding of vehicle operations.
Required skills
- Advanced Excel and Google Sheets for reporting.
- Experience with fleet management software such as Odoo.
- Knowledge of GPS/vehicle tracking systems.
