Fixed Asset & General Ledger Accountant

About the role

The Fixed Asset & General Ledger Accountant will ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function, guaranteeing timely payments to local vendors and accurate recording of the general ledger, inventory and cost centre data. The role supports the finance team in maintaining proper payable records and compliance with IFRS standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute financial accounting and administrative operations for the Fixed Assets (F&A) department.
• Manage accounting for fixed‑asset acquisition, disposal and depreciation in line with IFRS using SAP.
• Review and adjust postings to the profit & loss statement.
• Maintain, post and run monthly accruals and perform year‑end account reconciliations.
• Book vendor invoices (MIRO), monitor invoice aging and prepare payment lists for bank transfers.
• Process vendor cash payments, prepare transfer files and payment advices.
• Handle staff expense reimbursements and maintain GR/IR and other vendor clearing accounts.
• Recognise goods‑in‑transit monthly and reconcile supplier accounts periodically.

Required profile

• Relevant accounting qualification with 3–5 years of experience.
• Strong general accounting knowledge, including IFRS and SAP.
• Finance background with experience in accounts payable, receivable, PPE and general ledger.
• Ability to plan and control monthly cycles and ensure compliance with laws and accounting standards.
• Analytical mindset and solid computer skills (MS Windows, intermediate Excel, Word, basic PowerPoint).
