Financial & Evidence Officer

About the role

We are looking for a meticulous Financial & Evidence Officer to join Aften Services in Lagos. The role focuses on analysing client financial documents, verifying income sources and identifying any irregularities that could affect business decisions. You will work closely with the compliance and risk teams to ensure financial sustainability and regulatory adherence.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse bank statements and perform average‑balance assessments.
• Verify income, source‑of‑funds and sponsor financial information.
• Identify large recent deposits, unexplained transactions and other anomalies.
• Compare declared income with actual financial activity to assess sustainability.
• Prepare clear written findings and escalate material concerns to senior staff.

Required profile

• Mid‑level experience (approximately 3 years) in banking, accounting, audit, KYC/AML, credit analysis, risk, fraud investigation or financial compliance.
• Strong numerical reasoning and analytical writing abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
