Finance Officer

About the role

The Finance Officer will ensure that standard operating procedures are followed, manage vendor payments and wage processing, and work closely with the Control Unit to prepare warehouse budgets. The role also involves monitoring compliance with tax and VAT regulations and investigating any suspicious activity.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure SOPs are followed and spot procedural gaps.
• Process payments to vendors, fuel suppliers, and offloaders' wages.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly warehouse budgets with the Control Unit.
• Validate write‑offs, discounts, and damaged stock adjustments.
• Track tax, VAT remittances and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Reconcile distinct revenue streams and payment‑gateway settlements.
• Investigate theft, fraud, or suspicious staff activity.

Required profile

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Professional integrity, ethics and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• NYSC discharge certificate and residency in Abeokuta are advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency in financial software.
• Full knowledge of taxation and VAT compliance.
