Finance Manager – Renewable Energy Platform

About the role

Instollar is a fast‑growing renewable energy platform building the execution infrastructure for clean energy deployment across Africa. We are seeking a Finance Manager to design and lead the end‑to‑end finance function, oversee daily financial operations, and support strategic planning and investor readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day financial activities including accounts payable & receivable, transaction recording, payroll coordination, and financial documentation.
• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and maintain audit‑ready financial records.
• Develop weekly and monthly cash‑flow forecasts, monitor burn rate, liquidity, and runway, and optimise timing of collections and payments.
• Lead budgeting, rolling forecasts and variance analysis; build financial models for growth planning, expansion, fundraising and new revenue lines.
• Support investor, board and due‑diligence reporting; assist with equity, debt and grant fundraising.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory filings and financial reporting requirements.
• Design and improve financial systems, controls and workflows to reduce fraud, revenue leakage and operational inefficiencies.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, FP&A or operational finance.
• Background in startups, tech‑enabled platforms, renewable energy or other operations‑heavy businesses.
• Proven ability to build structure and processes in fast‑growing environments.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets proficiency.
• Experience with accounting tools such as QuickBooks or Xero.
• Strong financial modeling capabilities.
