Finance Manager

About the role

FMR Agency is hiring a Finance Manager in Lagos (Jakande Estate, Isolo) to oversee the company's day-to-day finance and accounting operations. The role is onsite and sits within the retail, fashion and FMCG sector.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, financial statements and cash flow reports.
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts and financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax and regulatory requirements, including supporting licensing and business expansion.
• Strengthen internal financial controls, policies and reporting processes.
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships and working capital.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely regulatory reporting.
• Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to management.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team and drive process improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
• ICAN (ACA) or ACCA certification is required.
• At least 7 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Proven experience leading the finance function in a growing organisation.

Required skills

• Financial reporting, budgeting, treasury management, taxation and regulatory compliance.
• Establishing financial controls and improving processes.
• Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
• Leadership, commercial acumen, analytical thinking and attention to detail.
