Finance Manager

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead the financial planning, reporting and treasury functions for a fast‑growing investment services firm in Lagos. Reporting to senior leadership, you will ensure accurate financial statements, robust cash management and full regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with applicable accounting standards.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and long‑term financial planning processes.
• Monitor cash flow, liquidity and working capital to optimise financial performance.
• Produce management accounts and executive dashboards for strategic decision‑making.
• Manage treasury activities, banking relationships and investment portfolio oversight.
• Ensure timely reconciliation of bank, client and investment accounts.
• Coordinate statutory audits and submit regulatory reports to SEC, NGX, CSCS, FRC, FIRS and other bodies.
• Oversee tax planning, filings and statutory remittances.
• Develop and enforce finance policies, internal controls and risk‑mitigation strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field.
• 5–8 years progressive finance experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within stockbroking, investment banking, asset management or financial services.
• ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional accounting qualification (mandatory).
• MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification (advantageous).
