Finance & HR Manager

About the role

ECUNigeria is seeking a Finance & HR Manager to lead financial reporting, budgeting, cash management and HR reporting functions. The role combines strategic finance oversight with HR analytics to support the company’s logistics and trade operations across Nigeria.

Key responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet & P&L) in line with IFRS and company policies; provide variance analysis and insights.
• General Ledger & Controls: Ensure accurate accounting, timely reconciliations and strong internal controls.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead budgeting and forecasting processes aligned with business objectives.
• Cash Flow & Treasury: Manage cash flow, optimise working capital, oversee banking relationships, payroll and credit control.
• Compliance & Tax: Ensure compliance with Nigerian tax regulations, including VAT and corporate tax; oversee timely filings and reconciliations.
• Audit & Risk: Coordinate internal and external audits, resolve findings and manage financial risks.
• Leadership: Lead and develop the finance team, promoting a high‑performance and collaborative culture.
• Systems & Process Improvement: Improve financial processes and ensure effective use of ERP systems such as D365, Hyperion EPBCS & FCCS and HRMS.
• Stakeholder Management: Present financial reports to management and liaise with auditors, banks and regulatory authorities.
• HR Reporting: Oversee monthly HR reporting, including headcount, hiring, exits and compensation updates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
• 5–8 years of accounting experience, preferably in logistics, trading or service industry.
• Experience handling statutory audits and regulatory compliance.
• Good knowledge of transfer pricing concepts and documentation.
• Strong skills in Excel and accounting ERP systems.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
