Finance Control Analyst

About the role

The Finance Control Analyst will ensure the integrity of the general ledger, balance‑sheet reconciliations and working‑capital controls for a manufacturing and warehousing operation. You will work closely with the accounting team to identify, investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies.

Key responsibilities

• Review monthly trial balances, journal entries and temporary accounts to detect misclassifications, duplicates, negative or unsupported postings.
• Oversee material balance‑sheet reconciliations (bank, AR, AP, inventory, fixed assets, debt) and perform sub‑ledger to general‑ledger checks.
• Monitor inter‑company balances, period‑end cut‑offs and statutory tax liabilities for accuracy.
• Prepare a monthly Financial Control Report highlighting discrepancies, financial impact, owners and corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; pursuit of ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent is valued.
• 3–4 years of experience in general‑ledger review, financial control, audit or financial reporting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with an ERP or enterprise accounting system, including transaction‑level extraction and data queries.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, reconciliation formulas, structured reporting).
