Field Sales Representative – Merchant Growth

About the role

OryonTech is looking for three energetic Field Sales Representatives to drive merchant growth for its AI‑powered WhatsApp agent platform. You will manage a high‑volume pipeline of Lagos‑based SMEs, guiding them from first contact through pilot activation and paid conversion.

Key responsibilities

• Source and qualify SMEs across retail, food, beauty, fashion, pharmacy, education, professional services and other appointment‑based sectors.
• Execute approved WhatsApp and social outreach, update the pipeline tracker daily and follow the qualification process.
• Book and co‑lead merchant walkthroughs covering order‑to‑payment and service‑to‑booking flows.
• Coordinate onboarding steps, including product selection, pricing, checkout setup and handoff.
• Monitor the 30‑day pilot, follow up for the first recurring payment, and report pipeline health, activations and conversions.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of sales, business development or customer‑facing experience in SME, FMCG, retail, B2B or B2C environments.
• Excellent written communication; WhatsApp messages must be clear, warm and professional.
• Confidence speaking with business owners, conducting focused walkthroughs and asking for next steps.
• Able to explain technology and automation in plain business language.
• Self‑starting, accountable work style and based in Lagos with availability for field visits.

What we offer

• ₦60,000 monthly base salary.
• ₦5,000 monthly data and airtime allowance.
• ₦15,000 commission for each personally sourced merchant approved into a verified pilot.
• Additional ₦15,000 when the merchant’s first recurring payment clears after day 31.
• Remote work with field‑based visits in Lagos under an initial 3‑month contract, renewable based on performance.
