Farm Operations Manager

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Farm Operations Manager to lead daily activities at our Delta farm, overseeing livestock, crops and resources. The role combines hands‑on management with strategic planning to ensure efficient, ethical and profitable operations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all farm activities including livestock (goats, poultry) care, breeding, feeding and health monitoring.
• Lead and schedule farm staff, provide training, and model punctuality and diligence.
• Develop, monitor and report budgets, ensuring cost‑effective use of resources.
• Maintain equipment, schedule repairs and prevent costly breakdowns.
• Enforce biosecurity protocols to protect animal health and farm environment.
• Record livestock production, expenses and staff performance with accuracy and integrity.
• Stay updated on agricultural best practices and introduce improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine or related field.
• At least 3 years (36 months) of farm management experience with verifiable references.
• Strong leadership, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Demonstrated honesty, discipline and proactive attitude.

Required skills

• Knowledge of livestock care and breeding practices.
• Understanding of crop production processes.
• Familiarity with budgeting, financial planning and farm accounting.
• Experience with agricultural equipment and related technology.
