Farm and Livestock Sales Manager

About the role

The Farm and Livestock Sales Manager will oversee daily cattle‑fattening operations, feed management, livestock purchasing, sales development and farm staff supervision at Apex Ranch in Abeokuta.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily cattle‑fattening programme, monitor health, weight gain and welfare, and maintain treatment records.
• Oversee feed distribution, inventory, cost monitoring and work to improve feed efficiency.
• Inspect and purchase cattle, negotiate prices and maintain purchase records.
• Develop relationships with buyers, butchers, restaurants and wholesalers; prepare quotations and close sales.
• Supervise farm workers, allocate duties, train on handling and hygiene, and report performance.
• Maintain accurate livestock, feed, medication and financial records; reconcile daily movements and report losses.
• Provide regular reports on cattle numbers, weight, feed consumption, health issues, sales pipeline and financial performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years practical experience in cattle or livestock farm management.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise staff and manage farm operations independently.
• Strong record‑keeping, commercial awareness and basic financial understanding.
• Willingness to live close to the farm and work hands‑on in a rural environment.

Required skills

• Practical knowledge of cattle feeding, fattening and health management.
• Experience with Excel or farm‑management software for inventory and financial tracking.
• Valid driving licence.
